Likely the biggest moment of anticipation is finding out how many puppies you’re expecting. An accurate puppy count makes the whelping process easier for the breeder. Radiographs (X-rays) to confirm pregnancy are done around a week before the projected due date.  X-rays allow for a more accurate determination of litter size.
